Goodfellow Unit: Uterine fibroids; from effects on fertility to the peri-menopause and beyond
Uterine fibroids (leiomyoma) are common, benign smooth muscle tumours originating from uterine myometrial cells.

They are estimated to effect 40–80% of women by age 50 years.

This webinar will cover all of the common presentations of uterine fibroids in primary care, including; heavy menstrual bleeding, infertility, pregnancy issues, pelvic pain, mass symptoms and risk of malignancy.

We will discuss primary care investigations, medical management options and when to refer for specialist intervention. An overview of secondary care management options with be provided.

As always, we will answer as many questions as we can as time permits.
