Goodfellow Unit Webinar: Stroke and TIA clinical update
Professor Alan Barber and Professor Valery Feigin will present clinical updates on stroke and TIA, and look at some relevant clinical cases. They will also present on the Auckland Regional Community Outcomes of Stroke (ARCOS) studies that have helped our understanding of stroke.

Stroke is a leading cause of death in New Zealand, with increasing incidence amongst Māori and Pacific people, and has enormous impact in our communities. Among those who survive a stroke many are left with some level of disability.

Stroke and TIA prevention and adequate control of modifiable risk factors is a focus for primary care, as well as the management of ongoing deficits and related health issues after stroke.
